The Fuels & Combustion group has published research in areas of chemical kinetic modeling of hydrogen and syngas mixtures oxidation, gas phase combustion kinetic phenomena, aerodynamics and temperature field experiments, linear time reduction of large kinetic mechanisms, modeling real-fuel combustion chemistry, improving stability of mesostructured zeolites, absorptive desulfurization for transport and fuel cell applications, modeling for high-pressure engine conditions, radiative heat transfer in nonpremixed laminar flames, measuring nascent soot in flames, hydrocarbon turbulent flame acceleration, mode analysis of highly turbulent premixed flames.
